CZone 360 App FAQs

Getting Started

How do I download and install the CZone 360 app?

You can download the app by scanning the QR code found in the Quick Start Guide or on the CZone 360 website. This will take you directly to the Apple® App Store or Google® Play Store to install the app on your mobile device. Once downloaded, the app will guide you through installation and pairing steps, which are also detailed in the Quick Start Guide.

What mobile devices and operating systems are supported?

CZone 360 supports iOS and Android smartphones. Please note that iPads are not currently supported.

  • iOS: Minimum supported version is iOS 12.4
  • Android: Minimum supported version is Android 7
Do I need an account to use the app?

Yes. You’ll need to sign in with a username and password. The app offers multiple sign-in options for your convenience.

Features & Functions

What can I monitor and control through the CZone 360 app?

You can monitor and control a range of supported MasterBus devices. Please refer to the appendix below for the current list of compatible devices and the specific values available for monitoring and control.

Can I customize my dashboard or add widgets?

Widgets are automatically added when the app detects connected devices, and these widgets are pre-defined. However, you can personalize your experience by selecting which widgets or devices you want to monitor in your Favorites.

How do I update firmware for connected devices?

Currently, firmware updates for connected devices are not available. The app itself can be updated through the Apple® App Store or Google® Play Store, and the Connect BT device can be updated via the app. Firmware updates for other devices are planned for future releases.

Troubleshooting

Why can’t I find my system during scanning?

If your system doesn’t appear during scanning, check the following:

  • Ensure Connect BT and your phone are within Bluetooth range.
  • Verify that Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
  • Confirm that Connect BT is powered on.
  • Make sure Connect BT is not already paired and connected to another mobile phone.
What should I do if my devices show offline?
  • Ensure Connect BT and your phone are within Bluetooth range.
  • Verify that Connect BT has power.
How do I reset the app or clear cached data?

If you need to reset pairing, press and hold the pairing button on the Connect BT for 10 seconds. The LED indicator will stay on for 10 seconds and then blink three times to confirm the reset.

Security & Privacy

Is my data secure when using CZone 360?

Yes. CZone 360 uses end-to-end encryption and requires authentication before granting access. Access is automatically revoked after failures or inactivity, and you can remove stored pairings at any time. We follow industry security best practices and regularly update protections to keep your data safe.

Does the app require an internet connection?

No. CZone 360 communicates locally via Bluetooth and does not require an internet connection for pairing, authentication, or normal operation. Some optional features—such as updates or remote support—may use the internet when available, but core device control works completely offline.

How do I manage permissions and privacy settings?
  • Pairing and Access: You control which phones can access your system. Devices must authenticate and pair before access is granted, and access is automatically revoked after failures or timeouts.
  • Remove Access: You can delete stored pairings at any time to remove previously authorized devices.
  • Share-a-Key Action: A short button press on the device shares a pairing key to a nearby phone when you choose to pair; otherwise, no keys are broadcast.
  • Visibility: The device advertises its presence using a name that includes the serial number for discovery—no sensitive data is exposed.
  • Data Protection: All data exchanged over Bluetooth is encrypted end-to-end during operation.

CZone Connect BT (Bluetooth Module) FAQs

Product Overview

What is the CZone Connect BT and what does it do?

The Connect BT is a Bluetooth interface that links the CZone 360 app to the MasterBus network, enabling wireless communication and control from your mobile device.

Which systems and devices are compatible with Connect BT?

Currently, Connect BT supports the MasterBus system. Future updates will expand compatibility to include CZone systems.

Do I need multiple Connect BT modules for my vessel or RV?

No. The current functionality supports one Connect BT module per system. A single module provides full connectivity for the entire system.

Installation

How do I install the Connect BT module?

Installation is plug-and-play:

  • Connect the MasterBus cable to the Connect BT module.
  • Pair the CZone 360 app with the Connect BT following the in-app instructions.
Where should I position the module for best performance?
  • Choose a dry location, free from moisture.
  • Leave enough clearance for cable connections.
  • Ensure cables can be routed easily to the mounting location.
  • Make sure the pairing button is accessible.
  • Mount the Connect BT in an area free from physical obstructions (such as walls) to maximize Bluetooth signal strength.
Does it require external power?

No. The Connect BT is powered through the MasterBus or CZone network.

  • Connecting to the network will automatically power the module.
  • Ensure the MasterBus or CZone network is powered for proper operation.
How secure is my Connect BT module?

The Connect BT module is designed with security in mind. Pairing can only be initiated by pressing the physical pairing button on the device, ensuring that only someone with direct access can connect to it. For this reason, the module must be installed in a secure location where physical access is controlled. This prevents unauthorized users from attempting to pair or interact with the system and helps maintain safe, reliable operation.

Pairing & Connectivity

How do I pair Connect BT with the CZone 360 app?

1.    Open the CZone 360 app and tap “Add System”.
2.    Follow the on-screen instructions to begin pairing.
3.    The app will display a list of Connect BT devices within Bluetooth range.
4.    Select the correct Connect BT (verify by serial number).
5.    When prompted, press the Pairing button (LED) on the Connect BT module.
6.    Tap “Done” in the app to complete pairing. Secure communication will be established automatically.

What is the pairing range for Bluetooth?

The pairing range is the standard Bluetooth range, typically up to 10 meters (33 feet). Actual range may vary depending on device and installation environment.

What is a System and how do I set it up?

A System is a group of devices connected together via a network. The Connect BT acts as the interface, transmitting system information via Bluetooth to the CZone 360 app. Once paired, you can monitor and control your system directly from your mobile device.

Can multiple mobile devices connect to the same module?

No. Current functionality supports one mobile phone paired with one Connect BT module at a time.

Troubleshooting

Why isn’t my module showing up in the app?
  • Ensure Connect BT and your phone are within Bluetooth range.
  • Verify that Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
  • Confirm that Connect BT is powered on.
  • Make sure Connect BT is not already paired and connected to another phone.
How do I reset Connect BT?

To reset pairing:

  • Press and hold the pairing button on the Connect BT for 10 seconds.
  • The LED indicator will stay on for 10 seconds, then blink three times to confirm the reset.
What does the LED indicator mean?
  • Slow blink with long interval: Disconnected
  • Fast even blink (0.2 sec on/off): Pairing
  • Short blink every second: Connected
Why isn’t my module pairing?
  • Capacity reached: The module can store a limited number of paired devices. If the list is full, new devices won’t pair until older pairings are removed.
  • Already paired: Previously paired devices reconnect automatically when in range; they do not need to re-pair.
  • Setup checks: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled, you’re close to the module, and the module is advertising. Follow the pairing prompt and press the module’s button if required by your setup.
